KMAD (Kensington Maintenance Assessment District ) Subcommittee

As of 2011 this is not a an active subcommittee. The subcommittee did not gather enough community signatures to bring the matter to a vote of the community. Therefore, the 2009-2010 consideration of this matter is closed.

KMAD Subcommittee formed

In October 2009, KTPG voted to form a new subcommittee to investigate the formation of a Maintenance Assessment District for Kensington.  The KMAD subcommittee usually will meet on the first Wednesday of the month.

The agenda for the October KTPG meeting included a special presentation on Maintenance Assessment Districts.    The description from the agenda reads: 

Kensington Maintenance Assessment District ("KMAD") – Discussion of Maintenance Assessment Districts, what they do, how they are formed, what is included/excluded, etc. Should the KTPG pursue the possible creation of a KMAD? A. Field – City of San Diego (7:35 – 60 min)

The KTPG approved the creation of a TMAD subcommittee to study and make recommendations about a possible Maintenance Assessment District.  Information on this decision can be found in the DRAFT KTPG 2009 October Meeting Minutes.

The subcommittee will usually meet the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm at the Kensington Community Church, 4773 Marlborough Drive, San Diego.  However, the meeting schedule may vary, depending on factors such as holidays and the amount of business pending for the subcommittee.
