Attached is a summary report with exhibits (three files: Summary report in a word doc, Street summary in an excel doc, maps and photos in a PDF file) regarding a comparison of the undergrounding between Talmadge and Mission Hills. The results are startling, and confirm the general observation that Mission Hills has a much better design plan.
We hope you agree that Kensington should have a design plan that is equal to or better than the one used in Mission Hills.
This report has been provided to both our Kensington-Talmadge Planning Group (Subcommittee on Transportation and Safety), and Coucilman Gloria's office.
This report only represents a portion of our comparison effort, and is limited to AT&T and Cox. We expect to have another report in the near future dealing with SDG&E and its responsibilities. The results were so dramatic for these first two companies that we decided a report focusing on just those installations was warranted.
If possible, please share this information and report with your neighbors. Whatever your position on utility undergrounding, it is essential that our whole community is fully informed.
