KTPG Governance

The Kensington-Talmadge Planning Group has been formed and recognized by the City Council to make recommendations to the City Council, Planning Commission, City staff, and other governmental agencies on land use matters, specifically concerning the preparation of, adoption of, implementation of, or amendment to, the General Plan or a land use plan when a plan relates to matters within the Kensington-Talmadge community boundaries.

The Kensington-Talmadge Planning Group is bound by specific policies.  These include, but are not limited to:

Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised is used when the Policy, the Administrative Guidelines, and the bylaws do not address an area of concern or interest.

The City of San Diego council adopted the current General Plan Update in 2008.  Kensington and Talmadge also fall under the Mid City Communities Plan, which was adopted in 1998.

Kensington Maintenance Assessment District ("KMAD")

Utilities Undergrounding Program

The City of San Diego is in the midst of a multiyear project to replace overhead utility lines with underground lines.  Some portions of the Talmadge and Kensington communities have been completed, while others are scheduled.  More information is at the City of San Diego Utilities Undergrounding Program Page and the KTPG Utility Undergrounding Subcommittee page.

Aldine Slope Restoration Project

A portion of the slope overlooking the south side of Aldine Drive has been damaged due to erosion.  A project is being planned to restore this slope and build a retaining wall.  More informaiton is found at the KTPG project page. The City of San Diego project manager is:
